Due: Tuesday, 5/24/16
with Mr. Miller & Mr. Truong
Due: Tuesday, 5/24/16
Use this form to evaluate the efforts of your group members and of yourself. We will use these evaluations to determine how much your teammates contributed to this week's group projects. You will receive two scores from this survey: you will receive full credit for correctly completing the survey, and another smaller score based on a summary of your teammate's evaluation of your contributions. This is done so that everyone can quickly and anonymously see how they were evaluated. There are a total of 5 sections for a maximum number of 5 people per group. Skip extra sections if you have less than 5 group members. ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE ANONYMOUS and the scores are a very small fraction of your grade, so be honest so people can know how they did.

Purpose & Instructions
Your group is responsible for the design of a “body” in a box. Three human systems must be included (in 3-D) and properly labeled. A fourth system may be added for additional credit. A short (3 paragraph) essay on 1) how the system works 2) how it works with another system and 3) how it helps maintain homeostasis will complete the assignment. You must include the NERVOUS and DIGESTIVE systems and you pick the third system for your box: Circulatory, Nervous, Respiratory, Digestive, Endocrine. REFER TO THE HANDOUT FOR A COMPLETE LIST OF REQUIRED ANATOMICAL PARTS
Some combinations will be more difficult compared to others (you can receive more points from me for those difficult combinations). You must think about the combinations before starting your assignment and tell your teacher what combination you’ve chosen. In addition to how these systems work together, think about how HOMEOSTASIS can be maintained. Make sure to include a discussion about homeostasis in your essay and use one of the following examples: Homeostasis, Temperature Control (cooling down or heating up), Glucose metabolism, Fight or Flight, Water conservation and Solute concentrations (water gains or losses).

In your groups, each person is responsible for producing a poster which demonstrates one of the following concepts. Each person is responsible for a different concept, and your group's grade on this assignment will be determined as a whole. Each concept can be produced on a regular single sheet of paper or standard white printer paper. You do not need to assemble your posters; you will simply staple them together as a stack when you submit them.
25 Lab points for written. To earn all points, all required vocabulary, descriptions, and explanations must be present. Artwork (worth 5 lab points) does not need to be professional, just not sloppy. Do not spent too much time on the drawing and focus on communicating the information.
Extra Credit: 10 points for best-labeled and best-written poster
