Vanitas Still Life (1630, Pieter Claesz)
Directions:
Use the following resources to draw the first five movable joints (hinge, pivot, ball & socket, ellipsoid/condyloid, saddle). You do not need to draw the sixth type of joint (plane). You may draw a simplified geometric representation of the joint, or you may draw a real joint to represent it. For each drawing of a type of joint, use arrows to indicate the kind of motion the joint is able to perform. For each drawing, label the joint type, its range of movement, and write down two (2) real joint examples. It may help to find that joint on your own body and move it around to see its range of movement.
